Euradiophoria
aims at creating a multilingual youth radio to:
spread (counter-)information on EU institutions activities,
using a particular attention to youth policies and programmes
*
improve Linguistic competences in many different European
languages
*
disseminate deeper knowledge of European policies most affecting
citizens' daily life by the way of interviews to the main
social and institutional actors
*
deepen consciousness of how global and European trends and
policies come from (and depend on) many local different situations
facing one another
*
spread special aspects of member countries different traditions
as to improve the consciousness of the strong dialectic between
similar and different traditions in the EU cultural identity
*
help circulating common opinions from the arising European
public, and encouraging new debates and movements
*
reinforce the sense of being part of a wide European public,
which is beginning to express its disseminated and highly
varied positions and needs
Euradiophoria wants to develop:
*
Multilingual Radio News every 15 days on topic EU issues distributed
both by internet and by local and national radio in partner
countries,
*
4 Radio cultural programmes;
*
in depth selection of text related to the topics presented
in the radio news: original official documents, civil society
position papers, article, press review, whole interviews presented
in extract in radio news; this section of the Internet site
is called "de profundis"
*
H-access to the site for blind people
*
flash opinion pool to compare living conditions in different
EU member States, to listen to european public opinion, to
test the effectiveness of EU citizenship's rights in the European
civil society.
The redaction committee is a growing, developing and open
organism composed by journalists, translators, university
students and teacher, civil society non violent activists,
experts in the focused topic.
Euradiophoria is a project developed in the framework
of the Youth Programme 2000, action 5 - Accompanying measures;
the Youth Programme of the European Commission, aims at promoting
informal youth training, European information in the field
of youth and youth mobility.
It is coordinated by Eurit
in Rome, in collaboration with other five European organisations:
Clot Rtv - Spain, Dvmedia
- Germany, Europazentrum
- Austria, Access System
- Belgium, Irdece
- Belgium.
