Belmont European Policy Centre
The Belmont European Policy Centre is a non-profitBrussels-based policy think-tank which looks at the key issues in the EU'smedium to long term development - the IGC, the Euro, the timetable forenlargement, etc.
CHALLENGE 96 is our bi-monthly publicationdevoted entirely to the Intergovernmental Conference and the debatesurrounding it. Each issue contains editorial comment, signed articles andsummaries of key IGC submissions. Writers have included Jaques Delors,Klaus Hansch and Henning Christophersen, and several European commentatorssuch as Ian Davidson (Financial Times) andChristoph Bertram (Die Zeit).
Belmont EPC contributed to the writing,editing and production of "Europe: the impossible status quo" which laysdown a series of challenges for Europe during and beyond the IGC process.The foreword is by Jacques Delors and the book has been translated from theoriginal French into German, Italian and English. Belmont EPC alsoorganises a series of briefings on the EU for diplomats, trade associationsand companies. The European Policy Centre, successor to Belmont EPC is tobe launched later in 1996 with a series of EU-related events.
