Grande Place Europe
a project for the Young and the Associations
meets the young people FACE TO FACE for the first time!
At the University of Padua, on November 23, (the day after a great international meeting promoted by the Italian Office of the European Parliament) Grande Place Europe organizes a meeting on "EU Citizenship, the European Dimension of Culture and the Information Society".
The representative of Grande Place Europe partner organisations will present to the young people participant the project and its first results, the activities of their associations and their reflections on:
What does it mean to be a European (young)? What are the reasons in favour of the European integration? How can European cultural "operator" exploit "the great net"?
During the meeting, in which will take a part also Mr. Egon Heinrich, (DG X of the European Commission, responsible for the programme Action aimed at Young People), a representative of the DG XXII will give up-to-date information on the Community programmes for education and training.
To the participant will be freely distributed the first publications of Grande Place Europe: -a brochure with essays by young authors on EU citizenship, Foreign Policy, the Euro, the "Idea of Nation"; -a guide on floppy disk to the Community education and training programmes.
